opportunities for musical and personal development through excellence in
singing in a diverse choral organization."
The
Augusta Children's Chorale was established in 1991 as a community
enrichment project with two fundamental objectives:
to
offer boys and girls the opportunity for musical and personal growth in a
choral organization geared toward professional standards of excellence,
and
to
provide our community with a children's choir capable of singing a variety
of music.
Membership, by audition, is open to singers in
grades 3-8. A limited number of scholarships are available to sponsor
children in the community. Rehearsals are held September through May at
Aldersgate United Methodist Church. The facility is completely handicapped
accessible.
